The first stage of learning how to record your first song on your computer involves learning how to utilize certain tools. One of these tools is the program called Fruity Loops. Fruity Loops is a sequencing and editing software created by Apple Computer. It was one of the first software programs on the market to be designed specifically for the home computer market. There are many people who still use this software on their Macs, though others use the PC versions that are available. Apple has made an effort to standardize the way the program works so that consumers have the same experience when they learn how to record their first song on their computer.
Learn how to mix the song
Once you have begun to learn how to record your first song, you will move on to the next step of the process. This next step is called mixing. In the beginning, you probably did not have any idea what this term means and it may seem very complicated at first. However, it is very easy to understand once you get the hang of it.
Use several tracks
To mix your song, you will need to select several tracks which you would like to use with your vocals. You will then want to add effects to the tracks that are going to affect the overall tone or feel of the song. A good idea would be to open up the mixing windows by clicking the “Modernized” button at the top of the audio mixer. This will give you a good idea of what sounds good. If you do not have any effects on the audio tracks you can click on the “oise wave” icon in the left panel of the mixer. This will give you a good idea of what sound will be better.
Discover the ‘edit’ function
Once you have completed the basic steps you can move on to the next part of learning how to record your first song. This next step is to go into the edit function with your mouse button. Click the “Edit” button in the left panel of the screen. This will give you an overview of the various options that are available to you as far as the track is concerned. You will find that you can make minor or major adjustments to the song using the various knobs and sliders.
Experiment with effects
After you have spent some time experimenting with the different effects you would like to use on your tracks you will need to get started recording. To do this you will need to access the track which you recorded earlier. Click on the track icon to bring up the screen. From here you will see the meters, which will display the level of compression which is being applied to the track. This tells you how much material you have used so far and it gives you a good idea of how long you still have until the track ends.
Start with one vocal
If you are unsure of how to control the volume of the vocals in your songs, then I suggest that you start with the song that has the least amount of vocals. This way you can get a good idea of how to adjust the levels which are necessary for the song. Vocal tracks often contain a compressor that is used to increase the volume of the vocalist when the song begins to pick up. This is done by limiting the level of the compressor while the song is loading. When the song is loaded, you simply need to turn it up so that the vocals are heard.
Achieve a specific tone
There are some more which we can tweak from the control center. The next thing we will discuss is how to mix the track in order to achieve a specific tone. After this, we should test our sound signature on the various instruments and keyboards in order to get the feel for the track. After this step, we can move on to the bass guitar and the main lead guitar.
Pan across the audio track
Another useful feature of the audio recording studio is the fact that it allows us to pan across the audio track. This means that each time we alter the sound input we are able to do so across the audio input. As a result, this allows us to alter the tone and texture of the song. Some people may think that there is a limitation when it comes to playing with the panning but you would be surprised at the amount of versatility that is available in the audio engineering studio. It really comes down to the amount of time that you have available in the studio. A lot of musicians like to be able to play around with their panning in order to get the exact sound effect.
